Dori has been a cornerstone of our team since 2015, often affectionately called the glue that keeps everything running smoothly. Her upbeat attitude and infectious sense of humor lift the spirits and performance of everyone around her. When asked what she loves most about being part of Peter Bortnem State Farm, Dori doesn’t hesitate: “Our customers. I truly value and enjoy every one of them, and I’m dedicated to making sure their experience is not just positive—but fun, too. Who says talking to your insurance company can’t be enjoyable?”
A lifelong Cokato resident, Dori proudly graduated from DC High School – Go Chargers! She went on to earn her BA from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN – Go Cobbers! Before joining our office, she gained valuable experience working with the Dassel-Cokato Enterprise Dispatch.
Family and community are at the heart of Dori’s life. Alongside her husband, Hal, she cherishes spending time with their extended family. She’s deeply involved in local organizations such as the Cokato Chamber of Commerce, the Cokato Corn Carnival, and the Cokato Historical Society. A longtime Rotarian, Dori has also served as past president, demonstrating her commitment to giving back.
When it comes to sports, Dori playfully declines: “No thank you.” While her husband Hal cheers on St. Cloud State University hockey – Go Huskies! – Dori prefers theme parks, traveling, award shows, walking, or diving into a good Nintendo game over any sporty pursuits.

Sandy has been an integral part of the Peter Bortnem State Farm team since February 2015, quickly establishing herself as a trusted and valued member. When asked what she loves most about working with State Farm, Sandy’s response is heartfelt and straightforward: “The relationships.” She combines her deep product expertise with genuine compassion and attentive listening in every interaction. Sandy is dedicated to making a meaningful impact—whether through educating customers, offering thoughtful advice, or simply being there to listen. Her mission is clear: to ensure every customer feels confident knowing they have a caring advocate looking out for their greatest interests.
A native of Golden Valley, MN, Sandy grew up as one of eight siblings, where her passion for the outdoors was nurtured from an early age. Fond childhood memories include adventurous Boundary Waters vacations filled with hunting and fishing, trips to Alabama to visit family, and winters spent enjoying hockey and downhill skiing.
Family is the heart of Sandy’s life. She is a proud mother of eight and grandmother to nineteen grandchildren. Sandy dedicated herself to raising and educating her children while living on their hobby farm, where the family cared for a diverse range of animals. Her lifelong love of horses spans over 40 years, encompassing showing, competing, training, and trail riding. Sandy also shares this passion by volunteering with a youth group, inspiring young people to experience the joy and connection that come from working with these remarkable animals.

Ariana "Ari" Machain, fondly known as Ari, is a dedicated and enthusiastic member of the Peter Bortnem State Farm team. Joining the company in early 2025, Ari has quickly immersed herself in the world of insurance, focusing on Property and Casualty policies. She is committed to continuous learning and growth, currently gaining hands-on experience with auto and renters’ policies, with plans to expand her knowledge to homeowner policies.
Before joining State Farm, Ari built a strong foundation in various roles, most notably as a Paraprofessional at Lake Ripley Elementary School in Litchfield, MN. There, she supported students both in the classroom and by providing translation services, showcasing her bilingual skills in English and Spanish. Ari continues to leverage her language abilities by assisting Spanish-speaking customers in the office, ensuring clear communication and personalized service.
Ari’s approach is centered on curiosity and collaboration. She supports her team by actively engaging, asking thoughtful questions, and fostering a positive and encouraging environment for both customers and team members. Outside of work, Ari enjoys spending quality time with her fiancé Ramzee, family, and pets. Currently, Ari is also learning Italian, aiming to become trilingual in the near future.

Morgan Wozniak

Morgan is our newest addition to State Farm; she joined the team in the summer of 2025. She was born and raised in DC and a proud graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato. Morgan brings a strong background in customer service, having worked as a bank teller and in patient accounting prior to entering the insurance industry. She holds a license in property and casualty insurance and is passionate about helping customers navigate the complexities of insurance coverage.
In her role, Morgan is committed to being ready with open arms for anything, embracing every opportunity to support customers through life’s happy moments as well as its challenges. She values continuous learning and enjoys the dynamic nature of the insurance field.
Outside of work, Morgan enjoys reading, decorating, cooking, and baking. Family is central to her life—she is the only sister to four brothers and loves supporting them in their sports and activities. Morgan is motivated by the importance of family and the chance to make a positive difference in her community.
